On four Saturday afternoons in June, join various RAS council members and library volunteers for an informal, social book chat at the RAS library.

On June 13, RAS Book Club convenor Yanfeng Li will introduce his short story Beauty and Grace 沉鱼落雁, first published in the journal 边疆文学 in 2015. In 2018, Beijing University Press released it as a standalone book simplified for international Chinese readers, with vocabulary list and footnotes. Please try to read in advance and bring the book with you. Available on major Chinese book sites, about 20 yuan. Dr. Li will introduce the story's cultural references, and show participants some Chinese literature books in the RAS library. During the event you will also
