On Friday, February 25th, 2022, Stories of Things is excited to present two speakers with widely contrasting "Things" from 20th Century China:

Professor Emily Williams from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou is a passionate collector of and expert on Cultural Revolutionary material culture. She will talk about an anti-imperialist paper cut with an intriguing back-story.

Duke Kunshan University professor and old Shanghai expert, Andrew Field, is back to regale us with tales related to a nightclub membership card from the height of Shanghai's 1930's nightlife culture. There will be a vintage cocktail pairing.
