DKU Professor Andrew Field returns to Stories of Things on September 19, 2023 bringing a vintage poster from the Beijing rock scene. With the poster as a starting point, Field will take us through the heyday of the indie rock scene in Beijing and its spread to other cities in China, all the topic of his latest book, China Rocking. Field, an accomplished musician himself, will incorporate performance in his presentation.

At the end of our session at 9pm, we are all invited to stay on for I Love Shanghai Lounge's weekly, lively jam session. Tickets will get you one drink, with more drinks, and food (a floor down), available for purchase.
