Zhang Lifen has been collecting historic newspapers for more than three decades. After a lengthy career as an international journalist, the results of his work are now on display at the Shanghai Library Bibliotheca Zi-Ka-Wei. Professor Zhang will provide a tour of his exhibition, which focuses on major historical events such the death of Abraham Lincoln in 1865, the Japanese invasion of Shanghai in 1937, the Soviet capture of Berlin in 1945, the first moon landing in 1969, Mao's death in 1976, and the 9/11 terror attacks in 2001.

All attendes must R.S.V.P. ahead of the event. Priority will go to RAS members. Space is limited so early sign-ups are encouraged.
