How is Shanghai's rapid change narrated in official urban planning as well as in everyday history? This tour, led by urbanist and ethnographer Benny Zhang, will use the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and its surrounding urban spaces to reflect on and imagine the notion of change in the midst of Shanghai's constant urban expansion.

After the tour, we will have dinner at a nearby Muslim restaurant that was built on the remnants of the Zhejiang Lu Hui-Muslim Mosque.

As space is very limited, all participants must register in advance. In your registration form, please indicate if you will join for dinner.
