A two-year production by the hands of three professional ceramic artists, this is the first documentary from China to provide extensive record of the pottery technique from eight ethnic minorities in Southwest China, including individuals and communities from the Li, Tibetan, Yi, Dai, Bai, Miao, Shui and Chuanqing ethnic groups.

The film gives an overview of the pottery handicraft from the ethnic minorities,according to the evolution of ceramics art. Through the lens of this ancient art of pottery making, we will appreciate the diverse palette of Chinese ethnic cultures.
