The RAS China Journal and Stories of Things are excited to announce a joint event on January 27, 2024. Through the generosity of Matt Burney, the UK Consul General in Shanghai and concurrent President of RAS China, the event will be held for RAS members and friends only at the Consul General's residence.

The much awaited launch of the 2023 Journal will be presided over by Journal Editor and Council member, Melinda Liu. Some of the authors and editors will be in attendance as representatives of the creators of the rich content of this year's Journal.

Following the launch, Stories of Things will again feature Melinda, joined by spouse and Beijing RAS President, Alan Babington-Smith, who will each present a unique thing that reflects stories of their numerous years and rich experience in China.

This is an event not to be missed. Register early as attendance will be limited. Entry is without charge for members/friends. Drinks and light snacks will be provided by the generosity of the consulate.

Due to security regulations, RAS will require registrants to provide their passport/ID information as part of the GlueUp sign up process. This information will be passed onto the consulate in the strictest confidence at least three days before the event. Due to this 3-day requirement, we will need to close registration on 2pm January 23rd, so register quickly.
